I am a professional, qualified teacher, holding a full Cert.Ed. and have worked at various colleges throughout London as well as running my own practice. As a training provider, and part of my personal continuing professional development, I decided it was time to put my skills into action and launch my own school - Hands on Health Academy of Complementary Therapies - to deliver post.grad. courses.
Hands on Health is a gateway to a new learning experience. CPD courses in Thermal Stone massage and Indian Head Massage and Su Jok Therapy have been designed with the student in mind, to advance existing skills with add-ons, to ensure on-going expertise and professionalism. CPD courses give students a thorough grounding in the subject without tying up precious time. Our courses are Embody approved courses and we are also approved by the CMA.
An exciting course for 2007 is underway, which is also accredited by Embody. I travelled to India in the summer to study Su Jok Therapy with Ashok Kumar Kothari from the Sujok Therapy Centre (India).
Su Jok is a scientifically proven therapy using hands and feet as maps of the body does not parallel reflexology.
Correspondence areas and treatment is carried out in a very different manner, on either hands or feet, utilizing a variety of correction techniques including:
o Needling, Acupressure, Moxa
o Seeds (external application)
o Colour, Light, Magnets
o 5 Elements, 6 Kis, etc. etc.
